The conference, held under the auspices of Charles University’s leading experts, will consist of sections devised by periods (1918, 1938, 1948, 1968, 1988) attempting to inform both academia and the public about important topics of modern Czechoslovak and Czech history.

The objective of the conference is to present important topics related to the “figure-eight anniversaries”. Several time-defined sections will feature speakers debating areas of history that are relevant to the present as well.
